Social Work graduate Erica Andreia Gomes da Costa has been appointed as Director of the Elderly Support Unit at the Madeira Social Security Institute, IP-RAM (ISSM, IP-RAM), as established by Order No. 171/2026 of the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth.
The appointment, in a service commission regime for a period of three years, is effective from March 26, 2026. The decision follows a competitive selection process where the candidate demonstrated that she meets the profile and requirements for this 2nd-degree intermediate management position.
Erica Andreia Gomes da Costa has an extensive background in the social sector, having served as acting director in the same unit since February 2025, in addition to having been part of the ISSM Social Action Department and collaborating with various social sector institutions in the Region.
