Regional Government moves forward with expropriations in Ponta do Sol and Camara de Lobos
The Regional Government Council has approved two separate resolutions regarding land expropriation processes for public works:
- Reconstruction of the ER 209 (Ponta do Sol): Through Resolution no. 172/2026, the expropriation of plot no. 27, belonging to Manuel Pereira and Virginia Coelho do Nascimento Pereira, was authorized for a total value of €6,930.00.
- Sports Pavilion of Estreito de Camara de Lobos: Resolution no. 173/2026 authorizes the payment of €5,520.61 to owners Hilario de Abreu and Maria Luisa Serrao Abreu, regarding plot no. 19/3. This process stems from the cancellation of the project, with the restitution of administrative possession of the property to the original owners now being formalized.
The Regional Secretary of Finance has been mandated to represent the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the formalization of these acts.
